The Huffington Post released an article highlighting CoreScore, a credit reporting method which uses financial data from car and rental payments, payday loans, child support payments, as well as more traditional means of credit score rating. The new method, which will result in 100 million Americans having a new CoreScore report, includes both people who have an existing credit score, and those who have never been a part of the system.
The Underbanked Market Size report, released by CFSI and Core Innovation Capital, was referenced in the article showing that payday lenders experienced a 35 percent growth in 2010.
